How to use w.bloggar with the new TypePad service

Some users of the new TypePad service are asking how to setup w.bloggar to post on it once its based on MT engine, here is the solution (thank's Nick):

When creating the new account in w.bloggar, use your TypePad user name and password, then select "MoveableType" as the blog tool, set the host to www.typepad.com, and set the page to /t/api.

BTW this week I'll release a new build of w.bloggar to correct a little bug with Windows XP when opening .post files, stay tuned.

I just downloaded w.bloggar and have tried to set it up to post on TypePad. I followed the instructions above but I get an error message:

w.bloggar:404
HTTP POST failed. The error number is the returned HTTP status code.

Ignore the above. I cancelled and started the new account process again, this time it worked, and I was able to post without problems.

I am glad to know that the directions work for Alan Palmer; they fail for me. When I try to see a list of existing posts I get an error message, "HTTP send request fail." This is either with or without https.

Still waiting for the new build, hoping it will solve my issue. Basically I can install w.bloggar on my XP machine and run it fine until I do a reboot. After that it crashes when I try to start it. Happens every time, only solution is to completely remove it, reinstall it, then use it before the next reboot. Very frustrating

Thanks, it works great on posting but I get a "Invalid procedure call or arguement" error when trying to edit an existing post.

Yes, I hope there's a way so we can edit previous posts without having to open our browsers.

Hope things are well.

Which blogging tool will offer Trackback for Typepad first? I hope someone does. Donate and help it happen.

My problem is when editing a post at typepad. I get something like Insert or update on table "mt_placement" violates foreign key constraint "$3"
